Erica Strong
she/her

Erica is the Project Coordinator at Equal Voice Newfoundland and Labrador.
She has a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a Certificate in Public Policy from Memorial University, which provides her with knowledge of political structures and processes, intersectionality-based policy analysis, and the systemic barriers that perpetuate inequalities.
These programs have fueled her passion to address social and climate injustices through dismantling inequality-producing barriers and implementing policies and programs that prioritize inclusion, equity, and sustainability.
She has experience working on social justice and environmental initiatives through previous work, such as with Memorial University’s Sustainability and Climate Action Office as a Sustainability and Climate Action Assistant, Memorial University’s Department of Gender Studies as a Community Development Worker, and Conservation Corps Newfoundland and Labrador (CCNL) as Team Leader.
In her spare time, Erica enjoys hiking, sewing, stargazing, travelling, looking after her plant pets, and learning about the interconnectedness of the planet and its people. She strives to embody social and environmental responsibility in all aspects of her life.
Erica is so excited to be working with, and learning from, the team at Equal Voice NL, and to contribute to the success of the organization’s impact-driven programs.
